A group called Fight Islamophobia has cancelled a scheduled protest in Windsor that was set to show support for a federal private member's motion condemning Islamophobia.
The group says the protest, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been cancelled "out of respect for the community we are purporting to support."
However, the Canadian Coalition of Concerned Citizens still plans to hold its protests against the motion on Saturday at Windsor City Hall and in Leamington, at the town hall on Erie St.
The protests will start at noon and are expected to wrap up at 2pm.
