Fresh off her win at the Eastern Canadian Championship of Irish Dance, a local dancer is headed to the World Championship.
Morgan Muzzati is the current Canadian champion in the under-19 category and will represent the country in April in Dublin, Ireland.
The 19-year-old has been dancing for 11 years, and this will be her first trip to the world competition.
"It's just very complicated, you know?" says Muzzati on why she loves to dance. "It's really strict on the muscles. I'm Irish, myself. I think it's a part of my culture and I really adore it."
The competition is in Nass, about a half hour outside Dublin.
Muzzati both studies and teaches at the Arden Academy in Windsor.
On March 19, there is a pasta dinner to raise funds for the trip at Legion Branch 12 in on Brant St. in Windsor.
