Head-On Crash Sends Drivers To Hospital

Two people have been taken to hospital after a pair of vehicles collided head-on in Lakeshore.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Tuesday around 4:45pm, officers responded after a truck, which was being operated as a snow plow for Essex County, and a tractor trailer collided on Essex County Rd. 42 east of Essex County Rd. 22.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no passengers in either vehicle.

Essex County Rd. 42 was closed for several hours between Essex County Rd. 22 and Lakeshore Rd 123, but it has since been reopened.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.
