Windsor RIDE a St. Paddy's Day Success

With St. Patrick's Day falling on a Friday this year, police were out in force to ensure that those "getting their Irish on" did not drive home.

Windsor Police released their results from the St. Patrick's Day RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program Sunday night, during which officers conducted impaired driving checkpoints at various points across the city.

Officers checked just over one thousand vehicles and issued only five roadside sobriety tests to drivers.  Of those, only one automatic 30-day driver's licence suspension was handed down.

Police issued 15 citations for various offences.

Complete results can be seen below.
