UPDATE: Fire Engulfs Home In Leamington

Fire crews have responded to a blaze that has fully engulfed a home in Leamington.

The Leamington fire department reported the incident on Mersea Rd. D near west of Mersea Rd. 19, on Friday around 4:30pm. Fire officials say the home was already engulfed when they arrived at the scene.

Fire Chief Chuck Parsons says the cause of the fire remains undetermined but is not considered suspicious.

A damage estimate is unknown at this time.

Mersea Rd. D was closed to traffic while fire crews were at the scene.
