Windsor Fire Service battles an abandoned house fire on Sandwich St. in west Windsor, April 11, 2017. (Photo by Maureen Revait) It took Windsor Fire Service 12 hours to extinguish a fire on Sandwich St. W due to heavy winds on Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 1:15pm and fire officials say they had the fire out at 1:30am on Wednesday.
The cause of the fire is undetermined due to extensive damage. The damage is estimated at $100,000.
Residents were asked to close their windows and shelter in place due to smoke while the fire was being extinguished.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
