According to MoneySense Magazine, Windsor is one of the top ten places in Canada to buy a home.
The average price of a home last year in Windsor-Essex was $221,432, practically a steal compared to housing prices in many other cities in the country.
MoneySense's ranking named Guelph as the best deal where the average price to buy a home was $441,000.
Durham/Oshawa east of Toronto came in second if you've got $528,475 to drop on a home. Brantford, Kitchener/Cambridge/Waterloo and Thunder Bay round out the top five.
The City of London was 17th on the list with an average price of $279,634.
Despite the average homeowner mortgaging $1,017,228 in 2016, Vancouver came in eighth on the list.
Toronto, Canada's largest housing market, placed 13th at $753,528. Last month, the average price of a home in Toronto hit $1.2-million.
