Police are looking for a 47-year-old Windsor man in connection two robberies at a Windsor convenience store.
The Windsor Police Service says on April 11 at just before noon, a man entered a store on Wyandotte St. W near Rankin Ave. demanded cash from the employee at the front counter. The man claimed to have a weapon, but one was not seen. The man left the store with an unknown quantity of cash and took off on a red mountain bike.
And then on April 13 at around noon, officers were again called to the convenience store after the same man committed another robbery. Police say the man went behind the counter and stole a more cash from the business. A store employee attempted to hold the door closed to prevent the man from leaving, but he was able to force the door open and flee the scene.
Officers have since identified a suspect and have issued a warrant for his arrest. Donald Meloche, 47, of Windsor is wanted for two counts of robbery.
Anyone who sees Meloche should immediately call 911 and should not approach him.
Those with further information about the robberies are asked to contact Windsor police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
