Expanded Ottawa Street Festival

The Ottawa St. BIA is launching a new two-day festival called the Full Moon Festival.

The festival will feature all of the restaurants and stores along Ottawa Street, outdoor volleyball, and big name entertainment like Finger Eleven.

"With our new BIA board we're just pretty eager to get things going," says director George Marar. "We're going to feature all of our businesses down the street everything from boutiques, to hair salons to flower shops to tattoo parlours."

The festival is June 9-10. The street will be closed and fully licensed.

"It's time to have a party in the street. Dancing, having a good time, drinking, listening to great music. It's going to be huge and it's going to be thrown on the full moon," says Bobbe Skuza with the BIA.

Admission to the festival is $10. The BIA is hoping to attract 10,000 people to the festival this year.
