Police Parade Hits Ouellette

The Windsor Police Service is hosting a barbecue and parade in celebration of its 150th anniversary.

Police vehicles, old and new, will be on display starting on Ouellette Ave. at Riverside Dr., heading south at 4:30pm Tuesday.

The cars will then turn east on Chatham St. towards Windsor Police Service headquarters, where there will be an inspection ceremony and speeches.

A barbecue will then follow that evening at Charles Clark Square, and will last until 7pm.

Later this week, officers will be dedicating a tunnel on Talbot Rd. W to Senior Constable John Atkinson, who was killed in the line of duty more than a decade ago.
