Art In The Park Adding Exhibitors And Making Upgrades

Organizers of Windsor's Art In The Park are excited about changes to this year's festival.

Chair Colleen Mitchell says visitors will see 40 new exhibitors, as part of 260 artists, at Willistead Park on the weekend of June 3 and 4.

There will also be a designated bicycle gate along the Chilver Rd. side of the park, for those riding down to the festival and using the bike valet service.

"We'll have signage up around the park so people will know to bring their bikes to that gate and it'll be easier for them to enter the park," adds Mitchell.

She says it will also be easier for people wanting food and drinks at this year's festival, as the former food court and spirit tent is being combined into one area.

More than 20,000 people usually attend Art In The Park.

Tickets are available in advance, with all proceeds going to the local Rotary Club.  The club then uses that money to benefit charities across the region as well as maintain the Willistead Manor.
