Police Seek Suspect In Wyandotte Blaze

Windsor police are looking for a man who was seen fleeing an apartment building just before a fire broke out, causing around $120,000 in damages.

The Windsor Police Service says on Sunday around 11:25pm, firefighters and police respodned the blaze on Wyandotte St. E between Hall Ave. and Moy Ave.  An investigation has revealed that the fire originated in the lower level unit of the building.

There were no injuries but police and fire officials believe the fire is suspicious.

A man was seen leaving the building and walking north in an alley prior to the fire. He is described as a male white in his late 40s, around 5'8" tall, with a medium build, and he is balding with hair on the lower half of his head. He was last seen wearing a light green jacket and light blue pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4331 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
