Essex Town Councillors are going to the public for input in a series of open houses starting next week.
There are four open houses planned, one in each ward.
The first is in Ward Three at the Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre at 243 McAffee St. That is on May 24. Councillors Bill Caixiero and Larry Snively will be there.
On Tuesday, May 30, Ward One Councillors Steve Bjorkman and Randy Voakes will host an open house at the Essex Centre Sports Complex in the Shaheen Room. That is at 60 Fairview Ave. W.
Ward Two residents are invited to the McGregor Community Centre at 9571 Walker Rd. on June 1 to meet with Deputy Mayor Richard Meloche.
Councillor Sherry Bondy is hosting the open house for Ward Four Residents on Tuesday, June 6. That will be at the Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre.
"The purpose of the open houses is to give residents an opportunity to have informal conversations about town initiatives with their elected representatives," says Essex CAO Tracey Pillon-Abbs.
Each event will provide residents with background literature on the town's strategic objectives and process made so far.
