Windsor Police say four people have been arrested in connection with a barricade incident.
Officers say an individual barricaded themselves in a home in the 1000 block of Marion Ave in the South Walkerville area early Sunday afternoon and held police at bay for several hours. The situation was resolved shortly after 3pm with an arrest has been made.
Windsor police spokesman Sgt. Steve Betteridge says three other people were arrested earlier Sunday morning. Officers were originally called to the location for a domestic dispute with a report that a weapon was involved. There has been no confirmation a weapon was used.
Erie St between Langlois and Pierre had been blocked off as part of WPS' handling of the incident. The area was reopened shortly after 4:30pm Sunday.
The major crimes division of the police service continues to investigate.
