The City of Windsor needs more time for beach grading and debris removal, so the official opening is being pushed back to Saturday.
The city is also hoping for warmer water temperatures.
Residents are being reminded that supervision of the water by lifeguards is weather and water quality dependent. Beach-goers need to obey posted signs and Health Unit Advisory Information.
