Police officials say 25-year-old Juan Carlos Alfaro was fishing in a canoe around 5pm on May 28, when witnesses saw his boat capsize.
He was not wearing a life jacket at the time.
Alfaro's body was discovered last Thursday, around 1:30pm in Lake Erie, near Albuna Townline in Kingsville.
