As Environment Canada predicts temperatures around 35 C with the humidex on Tuesday, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is extending its heat warning.
Acting Medical Officer of Health Dr. Wajid Ahmed says warning signs of heat-related illness include dizziness, headache, nausea or vomiting, weakness and confusion. He's asking anyone experiencing any of those symptoms today to seek medical attention.
The health unit also recommends checking on friends, family and neighbours frequently during heat events, and even after the weather cools off, as they may still feel the effects of the heat.
