Two Homes Evacuated After Gas Meter Struck

Firefighters were forced to briefly evacuate two homes in Windsor as a precaution, after a gas meter was struck by a vehicle.

The Windsor Fire and Rescue Service says on Thursday around 5pm, residents at two homes on Church St. near Shepherd St. W, had to leave their properties after the gas meter was hit by a trailer.

No one was injured during the incident, and residents were allowed to return to their homes within an hour.

No further information has been provided at this time.
