The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch ahead of heavy rainfall Friday night.
The conservation authority says a line of strong thunderstorms is expected to move through the region, which may bring rainfall amounts of 25-50 mm. Wind gusts of 60-80 km/h are also possible.
Flooding may be possible in the region, especially near major waterways and shoreline areas.
Residents are advised to take extra caution and avoid rivers, ditches, streams and shoreline areas, as slippery banks and fast moving water can be extremely dangerous.
