Windsor-Essex Celebrating Canada 150

Every community in Windsor-Essex is celebrating Canada Day 150 in its own unique way.

"We're embracing it with full force. We're very proud of our country, very proud of our community and we want to celebrate this milestone anniversary together," says Tourism Windsor-Essex Pelee Island CEO Gordon Orr.

If you're having trouble deciding what to do and where to go, TWEPI has made it easy with the website WE150.ca.

"It's searchable either by community or by event so we recommend that you scope out in advance what you want to see and do in each town and travel to a few of them this coming weekend," says Orr.

Orr says many of the parades and festivals will focus on the impact the community has had on the country.

"How Windsor-Essex certainly from whether it be automotive or black history or prohibition has certainly helped evolve this great country of ours into what it is today," says Orr.

To share how you're celebrating Canada150, TWEPI encourages using the hashtag WE150 on your social media.
