Tecumseh Pharmacy Robbed Again

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a local pharmacy was robbed.

It happened around 4:30pm Friday at the IDA Pharmacy in the 11000 block of Tecumseh Rd E in Tecumseh. OPP say a single male suspect, wearing a surgical mask, entered the drugstore brandishing a weapon and demanded narcotics.

The suspect left with an undetermined amount of drugs and fled the pharmacy in a light-coloured vehicle. It was last seen traveling eastbound on Tecumseh Rd.

Const. Jim Root, OPP spokesman, confirms to BlackburnNews.com that this pharmacy was robbed in May. The business is located just metres from the Windsor city line.

Police are looking for a white male, 5' 6" tall with a medium build. He was wearing a green jacket or sweater, light blue jeans, light-coloured gloves and a beige baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Essex County OPP's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 723-2491. Anonymous tips can be called into Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
