Windsor's mayor is hoping to start a new festival of lights holiday tradition.
"This is about creating something really extraordinary, really special in Jackson Park which is one of our premier parks in the city of Windsor so that all citizens and residents of our city can come out and participate in the festival each and every year," says Mayor Drew Dilkens.
It could cost up to $3-million to purchase and install.
"Up front the capital costs of buying all of the equipment and making sure the electrical outlets in the proper places, it's always higher in the first year so we want to start this festival of lights and see it continue for many years to come," says Dilkens.
Council will discuss the merits of the project at Monday night's council meeting. If approved, the mayor hopes to have the lights installed and running by December 1.
