Schools from the Catholic and public boards were affected by floods over the last two days.
The Greater Essex County District School Board had 16 schools affected by floods either from the drains or issues with the roof. The Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board had ten schools that sustained damage.
Officials from both school boards say the start of the school year will not be affected and all schools will be ready to greet students on Tuesday, September 5.
At the public board, Communications Manager Scott Scantlebury says there was no major damage to any school, and they are currently working on making some cosmetic repairs.
The communications manager with the Catholic board, Stephen Fields, says the hardest hit school was F.J. Brennan which has damage to the gym floor.
He says aside from some minor inconveniences, all schools will be ready for the start of the school year.
