Masse Demands Transparency Answers Regarding Bridge

MP Brian Masse is urging the government to be more transparent with the process for the two new bridges being built in Windsor.

He says it is appalling government representatives did not come to the community to break the news, and answer questions regarding the permit issued to the Detroit International Bridge Company to build a second span next to the Ambassador Bridge.

"We have a so called billion dollar new border crossing for the most important infrastructure piece in Canadian history, and they can't show up in the face here to answer basic questions? Isn't that kind of odd about the situation that's taking place here?" asks Masse.

Masse has planned a public meeting for Wednesday and is hoping to have parliamentary representatives there to address community concerns.

"Residents need to protect themselves. Information, accountability, transparency and access to a process, all those things I'm hoping to build," says Masse.

The meeting is Wednesday September 13, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at the Fogolar Furlan Club.
