1,000 Positions Open At Windsor Job Fair

If you are looking for work, the St. Clair Centre for the Arts is the place to be in Windsor.

A total of 15 employers need to fill 1,000 positions including Caesars Windsor, Dakota Integrated Systems, Mucci Farms and Rafih Auto Group.

The job fair is Thursday, September 21 from 11am to 7pm.

Carol Bendo with Mucci Farms is the spokeswoman for the event, and she says companies are looking for a long list of workers including professional, skilled trades, and general labour. The list of all positions is online.

"We ask them to bring a resume, a cover letter. We ask them to understand what positions are being offered, what they're interested in, what their availability is," says Bendo, adding that all of the jobs are full-time.

She says some interviews will be conducted on-site.

"We're just looking to see everybody face to face which I think is one of the best ways to get to know each other and see if there's a fit," says Bendo.

She says wait times will be longer at the beginning of the job fair, but they tend to be shorter during the dinner hour and in the evening.
