Sandwich Towne Store Held Up At Knifepoint (VIDEO)

Windsor police are asking for help finding a suspect following a robbery at a variety store.

The incident happened Sunday around 9:15pm at the store on Mill St. off Donnelly St., in the Sandwich Towne neighbourhood.

Constable Andy Drouillard says the suspect entered the store with his identity concealed by clothing. He produced a knife and demanded money from the clerk. He then took off with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running north on Mill St. toward Sandwich St.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a male, 5'6" lbs, 170 lbs, wearing blue jeans, a dark blue winter jacket, a dark toque, and a dark scarf with white lettering on it covering the suspect's face.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspect and are asking people to watch it and see if they recognize him.
