Windsor Man Charged After Bloody Gun Call

Police have charged a 42-year-old Windsor man with several firearm offences after responding to a gun call in Windsor.

Officers were called to a hotel on Howard Ave. just south of Edinborough around 3am on Wednesday for a report of a person with a gun. When they arrived, they heard screaming from a room and discovered there may have been a man with a shotgun involved in the incident who left the area.

About 90 minutes later, officers were called to a business near Howard and Charles St. for a man with a gun walking through the building, bleeding from his foot and carrying a shotgun. Employees safely left the building and told police that the man left a blood trail behind.

The Canine Unit found the suspect on Charles St. hiding under a back porch, arrested him, and seized a loaded shotgun.

No serious injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
