Hearing Date Set For Windsor Doctor Accused Of Sexual Abuse

A date for a disciplinary hearing has now been set for a Windsor doctor accused of sexually abusing a female patient.

The hearing for Dr. Haider Hasnain is scheduled for January 8-12 at the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons in Toronto. He is accused of sexually abusing a female patient in 2009 and 2010. A notice of hearing outlines allegations that Hasnain had sexual intercourse and oral sex with a woman who was a patient of his. She is identified in the notice as Ms. A.

If found guilty of professional misconduct, Hasnain could have his licence to practice medicine revoked. The college says he allegedly engaged in an act that would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional.

He practiced at the Tecumseh Medical Centre.
