A man is facing a number of theft and drug-related charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a parking lot on Tecumseh Rd. near Central Ave.
The car was stolen around 5am Monday after a man took an employee's coat with the keys in the pocket. Inside the vehicle was the employee's wallet with credit cards.
Police were able to track a suspect to a convenience store where the credit cards were used. They reviewed surveillance video from the store and were able to identify a suspect.
He was located in the stolen vehicle on Grandview St. in east Windsor on Tuesday. He was arrested and charged.
Upon arrest, police seized methamphetamine, a digital scale, three cell phones and over $1,000.
The 29-year-old is facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property, possession of drugs with the purpose of trafficking, fraud and unauthorized use of a credit card.
