Flooding In Leamington

The Essex Region Conservation Authority says there is flooding in Leamington between Wheatley Harbour and Point Pelee National Park due to high winds.

The authority says there is flooding in the area of Cotterier Park Rd. with water on the roadway and private properties.

Flooding, shoreline erosion, and damaging waves may also affect other shoreline areas Tuesday and Wednesday along the east shoreline of the Municipality of Leamington between Wheatley Harbour and Point Pelee National Park as northeast winds are predicted to continue into Wednesday morning.

The authority is advising people to avoid these areas and use extreme caution when travelling through floodwater.

The flood watch issued Monday for the rest of the region remains in effect.
