Two people have been arrested after a family was confined in a bedroom during an armed home invasion in south Windsor.
Police were called to a home on Morand St. around 11pm Monday. Two men had entered a home and forced its four occupants into a bedroom. The men demanded money and other property.
Police say the two men were wearing ski masks and one of them had a firearm.
The suspects took property, including money, and left the home. They were seen leaving the home by people who were driving by. The suspects were seen leaving the area in a vehicle at a high rate of speed.
The witnesses spoke to the residents and police were called to the home. One of the victims told police they recognized one of the suspects.
Officers found the suspect's vehicle at a home on Bliss Rd. A perimeter was set up and officers began communication with one of the suspects. Both of the suspects eventually came out of the home and were arrested.
Two men from Windsor, a 23-year-old and a 30-year-old, are facing a number of charges including break and enter, robbery, pointing a firearm, and forcible confinement.
