The Leamington fire department reported that a 2006 Cadillac Escalade had caught fire on Road 2 E west of Union Ave., on Monday just before 4pm. The fire was reported out around 5:30pm.
No one was injured.
Leamington fire officials say the owner had just completed repairs and was running vehicle in a driveway when the fire occurred. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Hospitals in southwestern Ontario are feeling the effects of underfunding, according to a new report by the CCPA.
Fortunately, no children were on board the bus, but the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
