Police Catch Car Thief

A Windsor man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a car from someone who was trying to sell it.

The owner reported the Nissan Altima stolen on March 2 after someone posing as a potential buyer stole it from their Giles Blvd. home.

On March 26, a rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle in Harrow.

The Windsor Police Property Crimes Unit spotted the stolen vehicle bearing the stolen license plate driving in the area of Walker Rd. and Ducharme on Tuesday.

They called backup and located the vehicle parked in a lot on Division Rd.

The 35-year-old suspect was arrested without incident. He is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.
