No Safety Concerns At Lakeshore School After Possible Threat Reported

Police say all steps have been taken to ensure the safety of students and staff at a Lakeshore school after responding to a threats complaint.

The Ontario Provincial Police say on Monday around 2pm, officers responded to St. Anne Catholic High School after someone discovered threatening graffiti written in a first-floor bathroom stall. The graffiti referenced a threat towards the school, however, it appeared faded and was not believed to have been written recently, police say.

Police have received numerous calls from concerned parents after the graffiti was reported on social media.

The OPP has since conducted an investigation and says there are no safety concerns.

The school will open at its regular scheduled time on Tuesday.
