Break And Enter Suspect Arrested And Charged

A 19-year-old Windsor man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a woman's home and threatening her with a knife.

Windsor police say around 4:20am on April 11, a woman reported that a man broke into her house on Shepherd St. He confronted her with a knife and covered her mouth. The victim screamed and fought off the intruder.

Other occupants in the home woke up and the man ran away.

Police found a man matching the suspect's description on Goyeau St. a short time later. A knife was seized from the suspect.

A 19-year-old man is charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon and breach of recognizance.
