A 21-year-old Windsor man is in custody in connection with the stabbing of a woman in the downtown area.
Windsor police say Benjamin Carter was arrested around noon Thursday at a home on Wellington Ave. near Wyandotte St. W.
Carter is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, and breach of probation.
He was wanted by police after he allegedly stabbed a woman in the neck outside a bar on Ouellette Ave. near Riverside Drive E. on Tuesday night.
Police say the suspect and the victim knew each other.
The injuries the woman suffered were originally reported as non-life threatening, though police have since said they were life threatening.
The weapon has not been recovered.
