Windsor police are looking for help after a concession stand was broken into twice this week.
The concession stand, located at Central Park in south Windsor, is maintained by the Windsor South Little League organization.
According to a post on the team's Facebook page, the concession stand was first broken into Monday night. Someone pried open the secured metal windows, taking over $500 in inventory as well as the cash float.
The incident was reported to Windsor police and the locks were repaired, but the perpetrator struck again Tuesday night. The stand was ransacked with more inventory taken, as well as their hot dog roller and food prep equipment.
A total of $2,000 worth of goods were taken.
The league says this presents a challenge since they are a non-profit organization that purchased the equipment with money raised through fundraising. They are also slated to host a district tournament beginning on July 13, and a provincial tournament on July 28.
A GoFundMe page has been started to help the team recoup their losses.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen something unusual in the Central Park area on Monday or Tuesday nights to come forward. Anyone with information should call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700. Tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers anonymously at (519) 258-TIPS (8477) or online.
