Windsor police have arrested two suspects after a stabbing near downtown last week.
Officers found a man with serious stab wounds in the area of Wyandotte St. and Church St. Tuesday night around 8:30pm. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A woman also suffered minor injuries.
Investigators say the victims had arranged to meet with a man and a woman who were known to them to sell a piece of jewellery. It's alleged a suspect took it and walked away. Police say an altercation occurred and the victims were injured.
A 24-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from Windsor, were arrested on Friday afternoon near Wyandotte St. and Church St. The male suspect was allegedly in possession of illegal drugs.
The man is charged with robbery with a weapon, aggravated assault, assault, possession of suspected fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of suspected methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. The woman is charged with aggravated assault and robbery with a weapon.
