Wednesday marks LaSalle Transit's one-year anniversary and to celebrate it is offering riders free fare this week.
Starting on Tuesday, September 4 to Saturday, September 8, riders can take LaSalle 25 route for free.
"Transit makes our streets alive," says LaSalle Mayor, Ken Antaya. "It's a sign of an active community. The first year of operation of the LaSalle 25 route has exceeded our expectations."
As a reminder, LaSalle Transit does not operate on holidays so the bus will not be running on Labour Day.
Regular hours of operation are Monday to Saturday from 7am to 7pm.
Two Transit Windsor buses service the route during peak hours, and one bus on Saturdays. There are 90 stops along the way and stops are within walking distance of 75% of the homes in LaSalle.
