Suspect sketch released in Harrow assault

Do you recognize this man? If so, Ontario Provincial Police would like to speak with you.

The OPP is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect accused of assaulting an Essex man last month. A sketch of the suspect was released on Monday.

The incident happened just after 4 p.m. on August 24 outside a home on Munger Avenue West in Harrow. The suspect approached the front door of the home and asked for directions. When the male homeowner stepped outside to talk to the man, he was hit with an object.

Police said the man tried to detain the suspect, but the man ran from the scene. He was believed to have left the area in a light-coloured vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 25 years old, standing 6'0" tall with short dark hair, a short beard and a matching moustache. He was wearing a zip-up hoodie sweatshirt with the hood down and a pair of baggy Bermuda shorts.
