The latest distracted driving blitz across Windsor-Essex has resulted in 52 tickets being issued in one day.
Plain clothed provincial police and Windsor police officers were used to spot offenders at or near the intersections of Manning Road and Amy Croft Drive in Lakeshore and Division Road and Walker Road in Windsor on Tuesday.
Provincial police said there have now been more than 225 total tickets handed out since the enforcement blitz started September 17.
Local police said officers "will continue to uphold a zero-tolerance approach for offences involving cellular devices and other distracted driving offences ensuring safer commutes for their residents and visitors."
