The City of Windsor wants to know your feelings on whether cannabis should be sold in stores.
The city is conducting an online survey to get residents' feelings on the storefront sales of pot. As of April 1 of next year, the province of Ontario will allow pot sales in retail establishments.
Legal cannabis is currently sold only online and overseen by the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS). However, communities in the province have a chance to either allow storefront sales or to opt-out of retail sales of marijuana completely.
A five-minute survey is available on the city's official website. The city is asking people to fill it out and provide their input on the issue. Windsor City Council will take the information collected when they decide on whether to allow retail pot sales in the city come spring.
The city has an opt-out deadline of January 22, 2019.
