Two Windsorites have been arrested after 13 vehicles were stolen from a car dealership in Leamington.
Provincial police said the dealership on Erie Street South was broken into in the early morning hours of December 2. Police said 12 of the vehicles were recovered within hours of their thefts thanks to the public reporting suspicious and abandoned vehicles in the areas of Augusta Street, Seneca Drive, the parking lots of two Robson Road businesses, the parking lot of the Leamington marina, and in a field on Mersea Road 1. Another vehicle was recovered in Windsor.
Daniel Watkins, 34, of Windsor is charged with break and enter to commit theft, 13 counts of theft of a vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a controlled substance, possession of break-in instruments, and failing to comply with court orders and breach of probation.
Jocelyn Prendergast-McLellan, 26, of Windsor is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of break-in instruments, and possession of a controlled substance.
