Essex County is experiencing quite a nice development boom, specifically in Lakeshore.
A scuba dive equipment and training facility with an indoor pool will be built on Croft Drive in Lakeshore. Erie Architectural Products is expanding its facility on Jutras Drive near Patillo Road in the town as well.
Tilbury Auto Sales on County Road 42 is also expanding its commercial facility.
The Forest Hill Subdivision in Belle River will create an additional 113 residential lots. And, the town is acquiring the necessary parcels of land along the Patillo Road corridor for a major road, drainage and traffic upgrade project to help meet the needs of the businesses and workers in the area.
Lakeshore officials added that growth in 2019 looks just as busy with many more projects in the planning stages.
“[I'm] thrilled to see that Lakeshore continues to be a leader in the region," said Mayor Tom Bain. "[I'm] excited to work with the new council to continue to support sustainable growth in Lakeshore”.
A new development is also coming to Essex.
Southpoint Equipment is building a new facility in Essex at 330 South Talbot Rd. N., along Highway 3 near County Road 8 to sell and service Kubota farm and construction equipment. Sales manager Jonathan Vanderlinde said the new 8700 square foot facility will open in the spring.
