Kingsville industrial blaze caused $1.25M in damage

The Kingsville Fire department says an industrial fire early Monday morning caused $1.25 million in damage.

The fire at Global Pack Packaging Solutions at 1928 Road 3 East near Spinks Drive started at around 6:30 a.m. on Monday. The company makes plastic produce packaging and trays.

No injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshal' s Office is still on scene investigating the cause and origin of the fire.

The road was closed from Spinks Drive to County Road 31 for 26 hours while firefighters battled the blaze. Kingsville Fire crews were helped by personnel from other fire services in Windsor-Essex.
