The apparent inability to keep emotions under control has resulted in charges for a Windsor man.
Windsor police say they responded to a possible road rage incident around 6 p.m. Saturday in the area of Cabana Rd. and Division Rd. Officers determined that the driver of a black Chevrolet Cruze cut off a black Ford Focus, stopped it, and blocked it from leaving the location.
The drivers got out and began arguing, though it was not clear if the confrontation turned physical. Constable Talya Natyshak said one of the drivers appeared to brandish a firearm. After a bit, the drivers returned to their cars, but not before the suspect kicked a side-view mirror off the Ford.
The vehicles then left the area, but the investigation eventually identified the driver, who was picked up around 9 p.m. on Curry Ave. near Riverside Dr. W. The driver was in a different vehicle and no firearm was recovered.
The suspect, a 29-year-old man, is charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and mischief under $5,000.
These charges have yet to be proven in court.
CORRECTION: A previous version of the story stated that the vehicle that was damaged was a Pontiac. Windsor Police have provided the correct vehicle and the story is updated.
