Lakeshore adds more residential lots as development continues to boom

With about 1,200 residential lots in various stages of development, the Town of Lakeshore is adding another 55.

Town Council approved the latest single detached, semi-detached and townhome units for along Old Tecumseh Rd. east of Flanders Rd. and west of Jordan Ln.

Residential and commercial development has been booming for years in the town, and officials said it shows no signs of slowing this year.

Final approval for new stores and homes in the Amy Croft Dr. area is expected this year, along with the completion of the Wallace Woods Secondary Plan. Both areas will get new access roads.

Lakeshore issued 973 building permits last year, including 241 for new homes.
