The Ontario Provincial Police has reopened the westbound lanes of Highway 401 at Manning Road after a collision.
Callers to BlackburnNews said the accident, which occurred around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, appeared to involve a transport truck, a minivan, and possibly three other vehicles.
"This collision is west of Manning Road involving a tractor trailer and at least two other vehicles," said OPP Constable Jim Root.
The lanes reopened around 9:30 a.m.
Root said there are no injuries.
The region is currently under a freezing drizzle advisory, and slippery sections have been reported in Essex County. There is also a blanket of fog over parts of the city and county.
