Last suspects charged in December shooting

Windsor police have charged two men who had been on the run following a shooting just before Christmas.

Fernando Ratcliffe and Johnny Furia, both 19, have been charged with attempted murder in the incident, which took place on December 22, 2018, in the area of Hanna Street East and Dufferin Place.

An undisclosed number of gunshots were fired, and police confirmed at the time there was a target. The target was never identified and there were no injuries reported. However, a vehicle seized after the shooting had multiple bullet holes.

Constable Talya Natyshak said the final suspect turned himself in on Wednesday afternoon. The other outstanding suspect had done the same in January, though it was not disclosed which suspect was arrested when.

Two women, aged 28 and 32, have also been charged in connection with the shooting.

These charges have yet to be proven in court.
