Multiple charges laid after drug bust in Windsor

Two Windsor men are facing charges after a large drug bust.

Police said officers searched a home on King Street near Prince Road and a business on Sandwich Street near Mill Street Thursday afternoon and seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, hydromorphone, cocaine, crack cocaine, and ammunition.

"A male suspect was arrested in the 1500 block of Ouellette Avenue by the DIGS Unit and the Emergency Services Unit (ESU) without incident," police said in a news release Friday afternoon.

The second suspect was arrested near Cameron Avenue and Wyandotte Street.

Michael Rainone, 55, is charged with possession of suspected methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected cocaine, possessing ammunition while prohibited, and not following court orders to stay out of trouble.

Chad Vandendriessche, 34, is charged with possession of suspected methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking, and possessing ammunition while prohibited.
